Courses
Welcome to Standing Waves courses... We offer a very extensive range of kayaking and canoeing which are available at a variety of locations. Some of the courses we have developed ourselves, others follow the syllabi that are laid down by the BCU/SCA.
Our courses range from introductory through to advanced, beginning with flat water on lochs which would be suitable for family/beginnnersto specialist, advanced white water courses.
Prices start from £15 per person per hour. We would recommend a minimum of a 2 hour lesson for an introductory session. Price is based on a group of 3 +.
For those who would like to know their skill level, or need pre-requisites for courses, we offer Star Awards and the SCA/BCU Safety Course. If you have responsibility for groups on the water, then we can offer and design a course for your specific requirements.
Kayaking Courses
We offer personal performance courses from beginnner to advanced, with specialist courses available in playboating & steep creeking. We have paddled in some of the world's best kayaking destinations including Ecudaor, India & Nepal
Canoeing Courses
Standing Waves offer a variety of canoeing courses split into 3 main categories - Personal Performance, Guiding & Epeditions
Safety Courses
We offer the full range of BCU/SCA Safety Courses that are currently available. These range from flat water rescues in all craft through to advanced white water. We can provide safety & rescue training programmes for the professional rescue services.

Standing Waves offer 14 STAR AWARDS courses split into Generic, White Water, Canoeing, Sea and Surf
