Welcome to Standing Waves, one of Scotland’s leading & oldest Kayak / Canoe Centres. We can offer coaching in all disciplines - canoeing / kayaking & sea to the highest standard by our highly qualified coaches with up-to-date equipment. Personal performance paddling classes or qualification courses can be tailored to suit YOU on a one-to-one or group situation.

We provide courses for all BCU / SCA coaching awards for the UKCC and star awards. All levels are catered for and we can run them throughout the country at clubs or centres. Contact us and let us help meet your needs!

Standing Waves can provide a full outfitting and servicing for all types of boats. Bought a new boat and need it set up or just need an old one given a make over ~ going on expedition then with our hire service we can make sure you have everything you need. Come and visit our retail shops, Stirling Canoes and Nevis Canoes.

Looking for an expedition ~ sea kayak ~ open canoe ~ white water then we are here to guide you. We have expeditions that we run but also have the skill and knowledge to help you with your trip. If you have a trip in mind then we offer a full guiding service.

We are experts in safety & rescue courses. Flat or moving water we can run the BCU / SCA modules or design one for your specific needs. We can help clubs / centres / councils and the rescue services with training and advice on best practice.
